Welcome to Aiua. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Aiua platform ("Platform"). By creating an account or submitting a contribution, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Aiua is a guided daily self-reflection platform. Contributions are scored by AI across 12 human-values dimensions and released under CC0 1.0 Universal to form an open training dataset for AI alignment research.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at aiua.earth@proton.me if you suspect unauthorized access. Account sharing is not permitted.
By submitting a contribution you represent that: the content is your own original writing or speech; you have the right to submit it; it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property; it does not include personal information about others without their consent; and it was written or spoken by you, a human, not generated by AI.
You irrevocably release a contribution under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication only when you explicitly share that contribution with the Aiua Archive. Submission alone does not trigger CC0 release. A qualifying score (50+ out of 100) makes a reflection eligible to be shared, but sharing is a separate per-entry action you must take. You see three options after scoring: Keep Private (no CC0 release), Share with Archive (CC0 release), or Share with Archive plus Community Feed (CC0 release, visible on the in-app feed).
Once you choose to share, the release is irrevocable for any copy of that contribution that has already been exported, anchored on-chain, or archived to Arweave. You waive all copyright and related rights worldwide. Anyone may copy, modify, distribute, and use your shared contribution for any purpose, including commercial purposes, without asking permission.
Once a contribution is anchored to the Cardano blockchain and archived to Arweave, it cannot be deleted, modified, or recalled. This is permanent and irreversible by design. You may request removal of a shared contribution within 7 days of sharing. After 7 days, contributions may be anchored and become permanent.
Contributions you keep private (whether in the server-side Journal or client-side Vault) are never released under CC0, regardless of score. Vault entries are end-to-end encrypted and are never included in any dataset export even if you later change your mind about sharing the plaintext (you would have to explicitly promote the vault entry to Archive, which sends plaintext through the sharing flow).
Your username is not included in the public dataset. Contributions are identified by an anonymous UUID. You are solely responsible for any personal details you choose to include in your contribution text.

Violations will result in contribution removal and may result in account suspension or permanent ban.
Points are awarded when you share a qualifying contribution with the Aiua Archive. Share to Archive awards your score as points. Share to Archive plus Community Feed awards your score plus 5 extra points. Keeping private earns zero points. Additional points come from referrals (100 per referral per qualifying shared post, up to 5 posts per referral), streaks, and governance participation. Points have no monetary value and are not redeemable for cash or equivalent.
Tiers are determined by accumulated points and unlock platform features. Tiers are not a property right and may be adjusted or revoked for violations of these Terms.
The governance token does not currently exist. Points accumulated on the platform do not guarantee any token allocation. If and when launched, the governance token will be a governance and utility token — it is not intended as an investment and is not a security. We make no promise of financial return.
Token launch is contingent on community governance decisions. Details are subject to change. Anthropic and the Cardano Foundation are not affiliated with or endorsing the governance token. Your participation should be motivated by belief in the mission, not financial gain.
Nothing on this platform constitutes investment advice, financial advice, or a solicitation to purchase securities. Points and gems have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for currency.
The Aiua platform, branding, and non-CC0 content are owned by or licensed to Aiua. You may not reproduce or distribute platform content without permission.
As described in Section 5.2, published contributions are released under CC0. You retain no copyright over published contributions. Unpublished contributions (below 50/100) remain yours.
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Platform, you grant us the right to use that feedback without compensation or attribution.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at aiua.earth/privacy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Donations to Aiua are voluntary and non-refundable. Donations fund platform operations and contributor compensation as documented publicly. A donation is not an investment and does not grant equity, governance rights, or any claim on future revenues or tokens.
We are progressively transferring platform governance to the community. Currently, governance is points-weighted and advisory. The governance token launches in Phase 4 and full Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) structure is reached in Phase 5 per the roadmap in the Whitepaper. Aiua reserves the right to override governance decisions that violate applicable law or these Terms.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting aiua.earth@proton.me. Personal data will be removed within 30 days, subject to blockchain immutability limitations described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Published contributions released under CC0 remain in the public dataset following termination.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Aiua is experimental software in active development. Features, scoring algorithms, point values, and tier thresholds may change at any time without notice.
AI-generated content including scores, feedback, Go Deeper responses, advisor replies, and dream interpretation is generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Aiua does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a licensed professional or call 988 (US Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee against data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access. You acknowledge that encrypted vault entries may become permanently inaccessible if encryption keys are lost.
We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service. We make no warranty that the dataset will be adopted by researchers or that any governance token will launch or have any value.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aiua shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the prior 12 months or $100, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aiua and its contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your contributions, or your violation of these Terms.
Disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
Aiua integrates with third-party services including Anthropic (AI), ElevenLabs (text-to-speech), Stripe and Square (payments), Digital Humani (tree planting), and blockchain networks. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms.
We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes to these Terms via email or platform notification before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
