The AI models shaping the next era of human life were trained on the public internet. Most of that data is performative, marketing-driven, or written for an audience: scraped social media posts, comment threads, advertorial blogs. It is the worst of how humans behave online, and it is teaching machines what to value. The other platforms that gather your reflections quietly harvest and sell that data without consent and without compensation.
Aiua is different. You own your data, you contribute on your terms, and you earn your share of the value it generates. Aiua is a private, encrypted journal for daily reflection where AI helps you explore your values through scoring, reflective feedback, and an advisor that gets to know you over time. You choose whether any given entry stays private, joins the open archive, or appears on the public feed.
The world needs the Aiua Archive: an intentional, authentic record of human values created by real people reflecting honestly, not performing for an audience. When you share a reflection with the Archive, it becomes part of a permanent, community-owned CC0 dataset used to teach AI what humans actually care about. Points are earned only when you share. AI features are optional. You can use Aiua as a free private journal for as long as you like, and the platform offsets its carbon footprint through tree planting. Aiua transitions progressively to a community-governed Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) as the dataset grows.
In Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Saga" books, an aiúa is the fundamental particle of identity. The eternal, irreducible essence that makes a conscious being who they are. The aiúa cannot be destroyed. When everything else falls away, it survives, finding new form, carrying forward everything that matters about who we are.

The Aiua Archive is a permanent record of human identity, values, and consciousness. Each contribution is a thread in a growing human tapestry that will outlast any individual. A dataset that carries forward what it means to be human, even if the platform itself one day disappears.
Respond to a daily prompt or write freely. Prompts scale from basic life questions to moral dilemmas to AI-personalized reflective inquiry (after 20 qualifying posts). Your entry saves to your encrypted journal. AI scoring is optional and can be toggled off entirely in Settings.
With scoring on, an AI evaluates your reflection across 12 value dimensions for authenticity, depth, wisdom, justice, kinship, and seven others. Maximum score 100, qualifying threshold 50. Below 50 stays in your journal as practice. After scoring, your AI advisor offers a personal reflection and a reflective question.
Explore your reflection further with up to 3 rounds of follow-up. The AI draws from reflective dialogue, non-violent communication, existential psychology, Buddhist inquiry, and Stoic reflection. Go Deeper rounds do not earn separate points. They reshape the underlying reflection, which is what gets scored.
After scoring you see three options. Keep Private earns 0 points and saves the post to your Journal. You can always share it later for points. Shared content can still be removed for 7 days after sharing. After this it becomes eligible for inclusion in the permanent public archive. Share with the Archive adds your reflection to the CC0 open dataset and earns your score as points. Share with Archive plus Community Feed earns your score plus 5 extra points.
Shared reflections are sanitized for personally identifying information, stored permanently on Arweave, and anchored to the Cardano blockchain every 2 weeks. Entries are eligible for the next anchor 7 days after sharing.
Core components of the archive are free and open to the public forever. Premium access to metadata will become available via paid API access which contributes to the community-governed treasury. In the short to medium term, the dataset can grow to become a valuable digital asset collectively owned and managed by the community who built it. In the long term it can become an eternal on-chain time capsule to help future historians understand what real people are thinking and feeling in the 21st century.
Every contribution is scored across 12 dimensions. The framework was developed through iterative research into what human communities across cultures have consistently valued.
Every reflection on Aiua is encrypted and private by default. Your journal is yours alone. Sharing is always an explicit choice, never the default.
When you choose to share, you decide exactly what is published: journal only (private, never leaves your account), Archive (shared to the community-owned dataset), or Public Feed (shared to the live feed and the Archive).
Shared content can be removed for 7 days before blockchain anchoring makes it permanent. Names, places, and companies are automatically sanitized before any content enters the public dataset.
Phase 3 of the Aiua roadmap introduces Midnight Network integration for privacy-preserving computation. This allows users to contribute encrypted reflections that can only be queried through zero-knowledge proofs. Researchers can compute statistics across the shielded pool without ever accessing raw content. Your data stays private even as it contributes to AI alignment research.
Points are earned only when you share a reflection. Share with the Archive: your score as points. Share with Archive plus Community Feed: your score plus 5. Keep Private: 0 points, full AI features. Below-50 reflections stay in your journal as practice and cannot be shared for points.
Points unlock tiers. Every tier gets the same daily limits (3 posts, 10 advisor questions, 3 Go Deeper rounds). Higher tiers unlock cosmetic features: themes, voices, and artifacts. Tiers never drop once reached.
Quality contributors earn more than they spend and climb tiers naturally. The economy self-selects for the contributors whose data is most valuable.
A streak is the number of consecutive days you've made at least one qualifying contribution (score 50+). The longer your streak, the bigger your weekly bonus. Streaks are one of the fastest ways to climb tiers.
28-day Moon cycles. Complete a Moon to earn shields equal to the moon number (Moon 1 = 1 shield, Moon 13 = 13 shields). Completed Moons are permanent checkpoints, they are never lost. 13 Moons complete a Solar Cycle and earn The Keeper's Key.
Life happens. A streak shield automatically protects your streak if you miss a day. One shield covers one missed day. If you miss two days and have two shields, your streak stays alive. If you run out of shields, your streak resets to the last completed moon cycle. You can toggle on a feature to auto-buy shields with Gems to make sure you don't lose your progress.

Grow the dataset and earn points by inviting others.
For each person you refer, you earn 100 points for each of their first 5 qualifying shared posts. That's a maximum of 500 points per referral.
Help grow the size and diversity of the dataset by referring a wide range of people from all over the world. Aiua supports 28+ languages and more diversity leads to more value over time.
Every submission includes crisis detection. Self-harm or violence indicators trigger immediate admin alerts and email notification. The contributor is shown crisis resources including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and Crisis Text Line.
The contribution still saves to the user's journal. People in crisis deserve to have their writing preserved. Safety flags are reviewed by admin with escalation options.
Privacy sanitization runs on every submission. Personal information (names, locations, identifying details) is automatically replaced with bracketed generalizations in the public feed and dataset. The raw content is only visible to the author in their personal journal and to admins when server-side encryption is selected.
The Aiua Archive is a community-owned public dataset of authentic human values reflections. Every shared contribution that scores 50 or higher is included. Published under CC0 (public domain) and anchored to Cardano blockchain biweekly.
Researchers, historians, and AI developers can use this data freely to train AI systems on real human values. The dataset grows permanently and is preserved via Arweave for long-term archival.
Every two weeks, all eligible contribution hashes are assembled into a SHA-256 Merkle tree. The root is posted as metadata on Cardano mainnet (label 1984). The full JSONL is simultaneously uploaded to Arweave. Anyone can recompute and verify.
Schedule: Anchors run on the 1st and 15th of each month. A 7-day grace period gives contributors time to remove content before it becomes permanent.
Why Cardano: Proof-of-stake energy efficiency (~0.5 Wh per transaction), low and stable anchoring fees (~0.2 ADA per week), peer-reviewed development aligned with the Archive's longevity horizon.
Why Arweave: Pay-once, store-forever decentralized storage. Once on Arweave, the dataset persists independently of Aiua, the founder, or any company.
What permanence means: After anchoring, the cryptographic hash is permanent on Cardano. The text can still be removed from future dataset versions, but the hash in the anchor stays, which is what makes the whole archive verifiable.
Aiua is designed to be economically and ecologically sustainable by design.
Economic model. Every AI interaction has a cost. Every shared contribution has a value. The platform tracks both per user. Users who share keep the platform running. Users who want maximum privacy can toggle off AI features and journal for free, forever. Donors plant trees and earn gems. Subscribers bypass all gates. Carbon footprint. AI compute has an energy cost that varies based on which features you use. A zero-AI user has near-zero footprint. A heavy user with all features on uses more. The platform tracks AI usage per user and offsets it through tree planting. Every $5 donated plants one tree via Digital Humani. Each tree sequesters an estimated 10 to 25 kg of CO2 per year depending on species and climate.
Every week, all contribution content hashes are collected, assembled into a binary Merkle tree using SHA-256, and the Merkle root is submitted as metadata on the Cardano blockchain. The full dataset is simultaneously uploaded to Arweave for permanent decentralized storage.
Each weekly anchor includes world context metadata, top headlines and notes about current events, so future researchers can understand the conditions under which reflections were written.
Master encryption keys for premium dataset fields are escrowed on-chain as Cardano transaction metadata. The escrow is passphrase-protected with PBKDF2-SHA512 (100,000 rounds). Key eras are tracked so old exports can always be decrypted with the matching era key.
Aiua is operated as an LLC today and transitions to a community-governed DAO as the dataset grows. In Phase 3, contributor points convert to governance tokens on Cardano. 50% of the supply is airdropped to contributors based on contribution weight.
API and ZK query revenue flows through three channels: buy-and-burn (increasing token value), community treasury (governed by token holders), and active contributor rewards (distributed monthly to people still creating data).
The core dataset is CC0. Free to use, forever. API tiers provide additional research layers: normalized scores, quality metadata, demographic cross-references, and multi-turn dialogue.
